About TN Fishing

TN Fishing is a personal Tennessee fishing conditions product from Calvin LLC. The site watches lakes, rivers, and tailwaters across West, Middle, and East Tennessee and publishes hourly scores so anglers can decide where to fish without refreshing a dozen agency pages.

The scoring engine (fishd) pulls USGS NWIS flow and water temperature, NOAA NWS hourly weather, TVA and USACE dam schedules, TWRA stocking tables and regulations, TDEC harmful algae advisories, and solunar timing. Each spot gets a composite score plus per-species ratings for bass, trout, panfish, crappie, catfish, and walleye, with fly and lure suggestions matched to water type and season.

The public dashboard, map, planner, hatch matcher, and learn articles are free to read. Accounts unlock a personal catch log, email alerts when a watched spot crosses your threshold, favorites, and preference sync. The stack is self-hosted: PHP Slim frontend, Go fishd API with SQLite, and a Python scraper sidecar behind Apache and Cloudflare.

Calvin LLC builds automation and data tools; TN Fishing started as a Cookeville-area angler project and grew into a statewide conditions surface. Product feedback and data corrections are welcome through the contact page.
